-pruning of connections prevented by repeating an experience multiple times
Signs of brain maturity/immaturity
maturity:self soothing ability
immaturity: weird cry/always crying, inability to transition between infant sleep states, abnormal reflexes/motor delays
autonomic infant stress signs
-yawning
-hiccuping
-gagging
-spitting up
-color changes
