(calf thats mother was exposed to noncytopathic BVD at42-125 days gestation)
becomes exposed to cytopathic BVD strain or own BVD strain mutates
will be fatal, wasting, bleeding mouth, bleeding in tissues
how to test for PI calves

calves are so virus loaded that you can detect virus in their skin
take a skin biopsy IHC when placing ear tag
