Confirm in writing:
That you accept
Terms on which you will do the work
Basis of charging.

What terms should you use?
A
Most chambers have their own, you can also use the bar councils standard contractual terms.

How are fee’s charged?
A
Either:
By piece of work done
OR
the case as a whole

What does a brief fee include?
A
Conference, written advice, 1st day or trial/hearing and all of preparation time.

What do you charge if there is more work after your brief fee?
A
You charge a refresher fee for any subsequent days of hearing. But REMEMBER, you do not hold any client money on account.
