Anticipatory socialization
How you think you should act dress or behave in a situation that you’ve never been introduced to before. (Anticipating your behaviour)
Gender Socialization
A gender role, also known as a sex role, is a social role encompassing a range of behaviors and attitudes that are generally considered acceptable, appropriate, or desirable for a person based on that person’s biological or perceived sex
Resocialization
Is when negative behaviour in a society is changed to one that is more socially acceptable.

Nuclear Family
A nuclear family, elementary family or conjugal family is a family group consisting of two parents and their children.
Extended Family
a family that extends beyond the nuclear family, including grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other relatives, who all live nearby or in one household.
Single-Parent Family
In a family where both parents are not dominant one of the parents are left
Blended Family
a family consisting of a couple and their children from this and all previous relationships.
Split Family
A split-household family, therefore, refers to a situation where family members who under `normal’ circumstances would be living in the same place are in actuality living in separate places.
Same-Sex Family
A family where both parents are of the same gender

Feral children
Children that are raised in the wild by animals with no human contact (socialized by animals)
Isolated children
An isolated child is a child that receives little to no human contact, while left in complete isolation
