Movement of a limb away from the midline of the body
Depression.
Movement in an inferior way (away from the head)
Retraction
Moving an anatomical part backwards (opposite to protraction)
Plantarflexion
Pointing your toes towards the ground (away from the shin) - increasing the angle
Dorsiflexion
Pulling the toes upwards ( towards the shin) - reducing the angle
Pronation
Rotational movement of the forearms - palms facing up
Extension
Extending of the joint - increasing the angle
Elevation
Movement in a superior movement (towards the head)
Protraction
Moving an anatomical part forward
Supination
Rotational movement of the forearms - palms facing up
Excursion
Movement to the side ( jaw / neck)
Deviation
Turing away or aside from the normal point (eg-wrist)
