anisocytosis:

macrocytosis:

types of macrocyte:
round, oval, polychromatic
normocytic:
red cells of normal size / anaemia with normal sized red cells
hyperchromia:
area of central pallor larger than normal
hypochromia:
lack of central pallor
polychromasia:
increased blue tinge to cytoplasm of a red cell (indicates cell is young
leucocytosis:
increased number ofwhite cells
leucopenia:
too few white cells
neutrophilia:
increased number of neutrophils
neutropenia:
too few neutrophils
lymphocytosis:
increased number of lymphocytes
lymphopenia:
too few lymphocytes
