ie. Can be reduced by damage

What is meant by Lymph volume per unit time?

The volume of lymph transported in a given unit of time- (cannot exceed the transport capacity)
2-3 litres p/ day empties at subclavian vein

What is meant by lymphatic load?

Answer 3

All things carried by the LVS- ( can exceed transport capacity- can have more than LVS can remove)

What is meant by Functional reserve?

Transport capacity minus lymphatic load.
( in a normal system 80-90% FR
10-20% normal load-
Load goes up- lymph activity increases SRreflex fires more often
Load goes down- takes longer- SRR fires less
