Tonic
Scale degree name for the tone that identifies the key.
Supertonic
Scale degree name, 2nd note, whole step above the tonic
Mediant
Scale degree name, 3rd note, the tone midway between the tonic and dominant
Subdominant
Scale degree name, fourth note, the tone five tones below the tonic
Dominant
Scale degree name, fifth note, the tone five tones above the tonic
Submediant
Scale degree name,6th note, the tone halfway between the tonic and the subdominant
Leading tone
Scale degree name, 7th note, the tone that leads to the tonic
