Medically - with a dose of mifeprestone (oral) given then 24-48hrs admitted to hospital for misoprostol dose(s). This can take 6-12 hrs to expel uterine contents - may require multiple doses of misoprostol and overnight stay. Can expect to bleed for 7-10 days.
Pain can be controlled with medication but will vary dependent on gestation.

This is an anti-progesterone which will act on the uterus to make it unsuitable for a foetus to grow.
What is misoprostol?
This will induce contraction of the uterus to increase expulsion of foetal products and uterus lining
