Q

Troubleshooting Information

A

The quantity of oil drained must be injected back into the system during the Charging process.
If pressures are incorrect, and you have performed all pre-checks of the system, and have found nothing to be out of order, you should recover the system.
Note the amount of refrigerant recovered, if significantly low, you may have a leak, and need to inspect further.
If significantly high, a technician may have charged the system incorrectly.
After recovery, perform an evacuation, and leak test, if passed, recharge the system with the correct refrigerant and oil charge.
After a proper recharge, check system operation and pressures according to the correct chart.

Safety and Compliance

A

Don’t mix R134a with air to test for leaks. If the mixture contains enough air and is under pressure a fire could ignite.
Don’t breathe the refrigerant mist or vapor. It can cause irritation to the eyes, nose, and throat.
Never use a disposable refrigerant container to store recycled refrigerant.
Never transfer refrigerant into tank unless DOT approved. (DOTBA or 4BW)
Never fill a recovery storage tank to more than 60% of its rated capacity.
Don’t handle any chemical or refrigerant if you aren’t familiar with the SDS (Safety Data Sheet).
Don’t make repairs to the A/C Machine. Only Filter replacements. (Z003660) and change vacuum pump oil. (2003327).
Remember, the A/C system is always under pressure.
Always Wear PPE.
