What are the characteristic features of a tension - headache?
A
- ‘tight band’ around head or pressure sensation
- bilateral symptoms compared to unilateral migraine
- lower intensity than than migraine
- not associated with aura, nausea/vomiting
- related to stress
- can co-exist with migraine

What is a chronic tension-headaches?
A
Occurs on 15 or more days of month

What is the acute treatment of a tension headache?
A
Paracetamol or NSAIDs
