A

Attempt at healing, which results in the collagen fibres separating/ disorganisation

A

Tendon is beyond repair, lack of collagen and disorder to the tendon

What is the mechanism of tendinopathy?

A

Tendon stretches
Amino acids and bond breakage
Heat as a result of bond breakage
Heat doesn’t dissipate properly
Irreversible denaturing of matrix proteins
Tendon rupture.
