what are the 5 stages of a sacrifice
A
- A Roman would agree a time with the priest.
- the Roman would then select the finest animal from the market, the animal was then decorated.
- there would be a parade through the streets.
- The Preist would wash his hands and say a prayer as the animals head was sprinkled with wine.
- The Popa would knock the animal out, then the Cultraririus would cut the animal’s throat with a knife.
the animal would then be gutted whilst a flute plays, the innards are then burnt and the meat cooked and given to the crowd.

- They wanted good fortune
- They where afraid of the Gods
- They wanted safe travel or something from the God
