Phone rings…
You pick up the phone and say:
Good morning/afternoon/evening…
Thank you for calling the (hotel name).
This is (your name) speaking.
How may I help you?
Guest: Hello, I’d like to make a reservation.
Staff: Okay, sure I can help you with that. When is the reservation for?
or
Could you please hold while I transfer you? Thank you.
Guest: I’d like to make a reservation for February 9th to the 25th.
Staff: Alright, and how many people will be staying in this room?
Guest: It’s for 4 people. And, could you have us away from the elevator please?
Staff: Sure thing. Please hold while I check to see if we have two double beds for those dates.
IF…you have rooms available for February 9th to the 25th.
Staff: Okay, I have reserved a room with two beds from February 9th to the 25th. This room will be away from the elevator.
Could I have a credit card to reserve the room with? (Type of card, Number, Expiration date)
IF… you do NOT have rooms available for February 9th to the 25th.
Staff: I’m sorry Sir/Ma’am. We do not have any two double bed rooms available for those dates.
- We have two rooms with queen beds. (You can request a rollaway cot)
- We are all sold out.
