Definition of the teleological argument.

A

Everything has a telos, including things in the natural world. Watch analogy- if something has a telos, it must have a designer. A posteriori argument. Everything is designed perfectly.

A

Everything has a function and was specifically designed: a human eye is more complex than a watch.

A

Everything in the universe follows a pattern, suggesting a design. Newton: cause+ effect. The solar system.

A

-Even if it is broken, it was designed.
-Even if every part is not understood, it was still designed.
-Even if you have never seen a watch before, it is still designed.
