Convection currents

A

Drive plate tectonic movement
Heat generated from radio active decay of isotopes in deep interior of earth creates molten magma in asthenosphere.
This material is less dense so rises up to near the crust, they then cool and sink again.
This caused the plates on top to move depending on the convention current - destructive / constructive / conservation
