Helping the performer perfect technique through use of analysis
Refining the playing kit and equipment used to give the performer a competitive edge

Why may technology be seen as cheating?

A

It can provide an unfair advantage as it may be only available to an exclusive group, if not all can afford it. If not everyone has the technology, then competition is not a fair test of skill of each athlete

A

Exercise physiologists - ensuring training is relevant to sporting demand and position
Sport psychologists
Nutritionists - choosing the right food and fluid in the right quantities, at the right time
Biomechanics - developing better techniques
Sports vision specialists - work on performers use of vision, and improve co-ordination, peripheral vision etc
Sports podiatrists - how performers feet hit the ground, any risks of injury
