Tech Spec 3.9 Refueling Flashcards
LCO 3.9.1 Boron Concentration
Boron concentrations of the reactor coolant system, the refueling canal, and the refueling cavity shall be maintained within the limit specified in the COLR
Mode 6
LCO 3.9.2 Unborated Water Source Isolation Valves
Each valve used to isolate unborated water sources shall be secured in the closed position
Mode 6
LCO 3.9.3 Nuclear Instrumentation
Two source range neutron flux monitors shall be operable
Mode 6
LCO 3.9.5 RHR and Coolant Circulation - High Water Level
One RHR loop shall be operable and in operation
Mode 6 with the water level >23 ft above the top of reactor vessel flange
Note: The required RHR loop may be removed from operation for <1 hour per 8 hour period, provided no operations are permitted that would cause reduction of the RCS boron concentration
LCO 3.9.6 RHR and Coolant Circulation - Low Water Level
Two RHR loops shall be operable, and one RHR loop shall be in operation
Mode 6 with the water level <23 ft above the top of the reactor vessel flange
LCO 3.9.7 Refueling Cavity Water Level
Refueling cavity water level shall be maintained >23 ft above the top of reactor vessel flange
During movement of irradiated fuel assemblies within containment
LCO 3.9.9 Spent Fuel Boron Concentration
Boron concentration of the spent fuel pool shall be > 2300 ppm
Whenever any fuel assembly is stored in the flooded spent fuel pool
LCO 3.9.10 Decay Time
During movement of irradiated fuel assemblies within the containment
