What do you do if a team member on your project isn’t pulling their weight?
Talk to a team member, state if the contribution does not improve the team will seek mediation by the leader.
Example: University group assignment
A person in the group was not delivering any content to the group assignment, they did not turn up to meetings and barely ever responded to emails.
Made case to this person that we would seek removal from the group and subsequent failure of task if they did not contribute to the group and provide justification for absence.
They failed to provide any follow-up, as such we followed through on our threat and had this person removed from the group.
I am the kind of person who will try and approach someone directly if there is an issue, and if they fail to comply then approach a higher authority, but only when the case to do so legitimate.
