MRT
Mountain Rescue Team
Training of new officers will complete SAR Basic Technical Rescue Course; CMC Rope Rescue Technician 1 and 2; and Rigging for Rescue fundamentals seminar all within 12 months.
Must pass annual mountain rescue physical test and skills assessment. If they fail, they will be pulled from the active response status. They will have 90 days to train and retest. If they cannot pass, they will be transfered out.

Logistics team responsibilities
The search and rescue Detail utilizes civilian volunteers as logistical support personnel. Their duties include maintenance, upkeep and repairs of equipment, vehicles and supplies as necessary to ensure operational readiness. Logistics volunteers can also provide assistance and support at the command post on large operations and by towing equipment including the fuel trailers, boat, and dive trailer.
Technical rescue operations
Used in but are not limited in; technical high and low angle mountain rescue techniques, lead climb rescue techniques, swift water search and rescue techniques, dive search and recovery techniques and alpine search and rescue techniques.

An organization that accredits and certifies member teams every 5 years.
Areas of accreditation are operations, search, rock (high and low angle), alpine (high and low angle ice and snow) and medical care and transportation.

What does it stand for and why are the duties?
Marshaling Area Control Officer
Responsible for securing the landing zone “LZ” for the helicopter. Controls access to the landing zone and coordinates the loading/unloading with the pilot-in-command.
Designated by SAR commander, SAR SGT or commissioned SAR personnel.
