Levels of response
Helicopter response will be based on the listed criteria:
1- The injury or situation the victim is in is life threatening and requires immediate response. “Golden Hour” rescue
2- The injury or situation the victim is in requires rapid response, not necessarily immediate by ground, water or air and may include personnel on foot, trucks, ATV boat or the helicopter.
3- The victim has minor or no injury at all, and the situation is not dire at the moment. An initial ground response to better assess the situation is warranted.
During confined space landings, the half disc rule will be strictly adhered to. What is it for the MD530 and the H145?
MD530 is 14’
H145 is 18’
The tips of the blades will never be within the confines as listed.
