A/S- below 100 kcas or Vne whichever is slower
Gen 1 and Gen 2 switches- off
Close cockpit windows, air control handles, and cockpit knobs
Execute SMOKE AND FUME ELIMINATION- as required
Land as soon as possible
after landing:
EMER ENG SHUTDOWN
BATT switch- OFF

APART: Annual proficiency and readiness test
Mandatory process that measures an ACM’s individual and crew proficiency. It consists of a standardization flight evaluation, NVG flight evaluation, and
nstrument flight evaluation that must be passed annually.

WHAT ARE YOUR NVG CURRENCY REQUIREMENTS AS A RL1 AVIATOR?
NVG Currency: To be considered NVG current, ACMs will participate in a one-hour flight, at least once every 60 days, in their aircraft category while wearing NVGs.
NVG eval period is a three-month period designated by the commander usually during APART period.
The aviator must demonstrate proficiency and be evaluated in all NVG tasks required by the MTL.
