The VOR or TACAN symbol is displayed when the selected navigation source is either VOR or TACAN.

The symbology is oriented relative to the aircraft symbol.

A

A strssor is any stimulus or event that requires an individual to adjust or adapt in some way- emotionally, physiologically, or behaviorally.

Stressors can be psychosocial, environmental, physiological (self-imposed), and cognitive (mental).

What is job stress and how can it affect aviators?

A

Job stress is stress resulting from work responsibilities. Conflict in the workplace, low morale and unit cohesion, boredom, fatique, and poorly defined responsibilities all are potential debilitating job stressors.

Poor coworker performance also can impose stress on an aviator. For example, flight crews might not trust those who service their aircraft to perform proper maintenance. As a result, crewmembers could experience anxiety during flight that adversly affects the unit’s cohesion and morale.
