Things to consider as you balance resources
- What are my options?
- How do I use my resources?
- Prior planning to make more resources available.
- Discuss checklists, written procedures, job sheets, automation, briefings, external resources, knowledge, skills, techniques, etc.
Categories of multiple levels of resources, and what they entail
RED: Policies, Procedures, and Routines (e.g. General Orders, Recruit Guide)
GREEN: Checklist
AQUA: Automation (e.g. Fire alarms, lights, alarm clocks)
YELLOW: Briefings and external resources (e.g. Supervisor, shipmate, Chaplain, etc.)
GREY: Knowledge, Skill, and Attitude (e.g. Training, practice, drills, etc.)
Things to consider as you communicate
- Who needs to know?
- Who can help?
- Does everyone understand their part?
- Inform each person when things change
