Q

What is important about aviation instructors and exams?

A
  • An instructor who recommends applicant for knowledge test or practical test is saying
they have provided the required training to the applicant and their confident student will pass
  • Instructor is responsible for student deficiencies on a practical test.
  • If an instructor endorses a student, they’re responsible for the student’s safety
  • Endorsing a student before they’re ready is a “breach of faith” with the student
  • Solo endorsements must be held for 3 years after giving them, including student name, date of when it occurred, and aircraft type, and results for all knowledge and practical test endorsements must also be kept.
