What is an objective scholar?

Assumption that truth is singular and accessible through unbiased sensory observation; committed to uncovering cause-and-effect relationships

What is an interpretative theory?
Linguistic work of assigning meaning or value to text; assumes that multiple meanings / truths are possible.
