Tactical Data Link System Flashcards
Tactical Digital Information Link [TADIL] involves?
The utilisation of standardised communication links for the exchange of tactical data
TADIL 16
Utilises pseudo-noise coding and frequency hopping to resist jamming
In the Time Division Multiple Access [TDMA] Concept, each user is assigned a transmit time slot based on message throughput requirements to support the mission. Users synchronise to system time either directly from the Net Time Reference [NTR] or another user already in sync
Each user transmits data in the slots allocated to it and monitors the network for received information when not transmitting. Each user can transmit/receive a total of us to 238 kilobits per second of data un-encoded (115Kbs Encoded).
Latest Developments for TDLS include?
Satellite Link 16 and Link 22
