What does TACAMO stand for? What’s its mission?
Take Charge and Move Out. Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron.
NSF provides continual physical security for all TACAMO aircraft, and assists in providing security to safeguard the command and control of the nation’s nuclear.
Discuss the duties of the ATO in the TACAMO community?
Reports to the Security Assurance Division Officer.
Primary AT/FP advisor.
The Strategic Communication Wing (SCW)-1 Emergency Management Officer.
Develops/manages AT program
Prepares AT plans
Supervises training of the command’s ATTT

What are the minimum post to maintain a level of security that will protect the command rom any disruption?
One watch commander
one watch desk
Three range Ramp (1 entry controller, 2-immediate security response team)
Nine Romeo Ramp (1 entry controller, 2-Close boundary sentry, 2 ISRT, 3 response force; required only when aircraft on alert
What are the general requirements for restricted areas on the airfield?
Shall be established in writing by the CO. Part of Physical Security instructions. Shall publish a consolidated list of all restricted area. RA should be arounds mission-critical assists, classified materials, AA&E, Nuclear material. Level of restricted area.
Considerations in planning for flight line and aircraft security
Security provided by installation or commercial airfield.
Adequate fencing, lighting, posted signs, physical barriers
Security/LE coverage
Safety of personnel inside flightline
IDS
Coordination with tenant commands for return on deployed units
Discuss pre-deployment requirements for TACAMO operations
Team roster, # of aircraft, MTAC notice/AT brief, ROE/UOF, POC/ Inventory (weps/ammo, comms)
Airfield driving requirements
Possess a valid AF form 483.
Comply with all directives and safety practices
Review/understand signage and markings.
Maintain SA.
Review current info on closures of taxiways/runways
Mission of SCW-1?
The primary mission of SCW-1 is the operation, administration, manning, equipping and training of Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadrons to provide connectivity between the President and Secretary of Defense and the nation’s nuclear forces.
SCW-1 has direct responsibility over Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron THREE (VQ-3), Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron FOUR (VQ4), Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron SEVEN (VQ-7) and the TACAMO Weapons School (TWS).
