What is a therapeutic assessment (TA)?
A semi structured approach to assessment that strives to maximize the likelihood of therapeutic change for the cliënt.
One reason why TA is effective is that a client walks in line between Self-Verification and Disintegration. The balance between these two is central in promoting change. What do Self-Verification and disintegration mean?
Self-Verification = the tendency to seek and attend to information that supports established ways one understands onself.
Disintegration is the disturbance of a personality.
