What are the limitations of History?
- The description may be biased, exaggerated, or lack historical detail
- Lack of everyday, normal activities of the lower class
- Often created by the upper class, providing a skewed view.
What are the values of Archaeology?
- Uncover relevant artifacts able to be analysed
- With modern technology, many larger dig sites can be discovered.
What are the limitations of Archaeology?
- Civilisations in archaeological dig sites could be damaged or destroyed
- Artifacts could be destroyed or mistranslated
- Ethically incorrect treatment.
What are the values of Science in the study of history?
- Provide a deeper and clearer analysis of artifacts, bodies, etc.
- Allows for the reconstruction of civilisations, faces, and bone structure.
What are the limitations of Science?
- Reconstruction may be incorrect
- If the source is extremely damaged, it wouldn’t be able to be reexamined.
