- Eggs are laid between 2 leaves with a gel substance gluing them and the eggs altogether.
- Eggs are in trees over water to avoid depredation from fish.
- Tadpoles hatch and gel dissolves so that tadpoles fall into water.

A
- They dig holes and bury egg with leaf litter that warms as it decays.
- Male monitors with his beak and adds or takes away sand as needed.
- Chick is born under the mound and must dig its way out.
- Huge yolk sack supports the chick up to 48 days until it frees itself.

A
- Male has sticky stomach that eggs stick to, then his skin grows around the eggs.
- Babies emerge from a slit in the skin.
