What does an underlined item mean?
Independent failure. Doesn’t affect other systems.
What does a boxed item mean?
Primary failure. Affects other systems.

A secondary failure. Failed due to a primary failure.

Minimum speed to select Flaps 1
What does the “S” mean on the airspeed indicator?
Minimum speed to select flaps 0.
What does an Amber number and indicator mean on the VSI?
Excessive rate of climb or descent.
- 6000fpm normal climb or descent.
- 2000fpm in descent between 2500’ to 1000’ RA
- 1200fpm in descent below 1000’ RA
What does an Amber Box around the VS?
Lost inertial reference. Using barometric information only.
What does the red barber pole mean?
Vmax
What does the orange bar mean?
Vls. Adjusts for configuration
What does a blue triangle mean on the heading indicator?
What about a blue number?
Selected heading.
The selected heading is off the scale.
What is the yellow bar on the heading indicator?
The airplanes actual heading.
What does a green diamond mean on the heading indicator?

How long is the FADEC on for when you power the airplane?

Need to charge.

What does a fault light on the unguarded GEN Light mean?
Either the line contactor is open or a GCU tripped
What does a fault light mean in the guarded GEN button?
What does pushing the button do?
What are requirements to push the button?
Either high oil temperature or high oil pressure in the oil around the IDG.
It disconnects the generator.
Engine has to be running and press for no more than 3 seconds.
When does the RAT deploy?
When you lose both AC busses and are above 100 knots
What does a white slash on PFD1, ND1, and E/WD mean?
How can you get them back?
Lost DMC1.
Turn the EIS DMC switch to Capt DMC3
What does a white slash on PFD2, ND2 and SD?
How do you get it back?
Lost DMC2
Turn EIS DMC switch to FO3
What happens if you lose your PFD?
What do you do if you were PM and needed to look at the flight plan?
PFD would pop up on ND.
Press the PFD/ND transfer button.
What happens if you lose the ND?
Nothing
What happens if you lose the E/WD?
It pops up on the SD.
If you lose the SD how do you view systems pages?
Press and hold the respective systems page button.
Turn the ECAM/ND transfer switch to respective side.
What do you do if the systems buttons won’t pull up the pages on the SD?
Press and hold the ALL button. It will cycle through the systems. When you stop holding it, the current system displayed will remain.
What does it mean when only PFD1 and E/WD are displayed?
Batteries are the only source of power above 50 knots
How many screens are powered if operating on the RAT?
Which ones?
Four. PFD1, ND1, E/WD, and MCDU1
What happens once you are below 100 knots on the ground? 50 knots?
DC Battery bus connects.
Below 50 knots all the screens get shed.
What are on the DC Battery Bus?
APU Start and Outflow Valve
What does a fault light mean on the Battery button
Battery charging out of limits
AC Essential Bus fault light?
AC Essential bus not powered
