Ink from the fountain pen would smudge and stain the fingers. A Hungarian journalist wanted to improve the fountain pen and thus studied how to improve the fountain pen. This led him to put a rolling ball in a socket at the pen’s tip.

A

While writing, the ball picked up ink from a cartridge and the ink would flow smoothly. The ball point pen is a man-made system made up of a clip, a joint, a cap, a button spring, a tube, cartridge, etc.
