Systems Flashcards
What does the output driver do in a system?
Amplifies the current/ powers the output.
What are the two types of control systems?
Open loop control and closed loop control.
What is closed loop control?
Closed loop control uses feedback to automatically adjust the output according to the changing conditions.
What is the difference between open loop control and closed loop control?
Open loop control is manual and doesn’t use feedback to control the output.
Closed loop control is automatic and uses feedback to control the output.
What is the purpose of the systems boundary?
To separate the external inputs and outputs from the processes that happen within the system.
What is negative feedback?
When the system reports an error to try and reduce the error.
What is positive feedback?
When the system reinforces the error.
