Why is Secondary storage needed?
A
When a computer is turned off it will store file e.g photos for the long term. (RAM cannot do this)

Name the 3 types of storage devices?
A
- Magnetic (HDD) - Moving parts used to save data to magnetic disk
- Optical (DVD) - Laser written data on a disc
- Solid State (SSD) - No moving parts or Magnets used.

A
- Largest Capacity
- Quite Cheap
- Slower Access Speeds
- Not that portable
- Quite Reliable/ not that durable (due to moving parts)

A
- Smaller Capacity
- Most expensive
- Fast access speeds
- More reliable/durable, no moving parts
- NOT portable
