SYS: Electrics Flashcards
Power for the ___ V DC negative Ground Dual fed split bus electrical system is supplied by?
28 V DC.
A direct driven 200 ampere generator and a belt driven 135 ampere alternator.
Does the generator and the alternator run at the same time?
Yes it does. The generator is the primary current source and the alternator is the back-Up.
The alternator will Pick Up the entire load in case the generator should fail or be turned off.
Battery capacity?
24 V DC, 38 Ampere/ Hour
The battery provides power for?
Engine starting and acts as a emergency source of electrical power if the generator and the alternator should both fail.
The EMER BUS provides power to? (9 things)
1: #1 PFD
2: #1 COMM/NAV/GPS
3: #1 Audio Panel
4: #1 AHRS
5: #1 ADC
6: EMER BUS Voltage Indication
7: Landing Gear Down Lights
8: Intertial lightning for STBY Instrument
9: Illumination of the Magnetic Campass
During operations exclusively on EMER BUS, the following will display invalid:
1: Fuel quantity
2: Torque
3: Oil pressure
4: Vacuum
5: Cabin altitude
6: Cabin rate
7: Cabin diff. Pressure
Will rudder trim and flaps function if operation is exclusively on EMER BUS?
No, but the indications will correspond to the values that where present when the power failed
What is the intention for the EMER BUS?
To provide emergency power to systems required to land the aircraft in the event of a total electrical failure. NOTE: BETA and REVERSE will not be available.
Can you Connect a GPU to the A/C?
Yes. A GPU with 24 V DC Can be Connected.
CAS red VOLTS will illuminate when?
1: Main bus voltage below 24 V (if generator OFF and Alternater OFF and A/C is on the ground)
2: Main bus voltage below 25 V (if generator ON, Alternator ON and the A/C is in the air)
3: Anytime the EMER BUS voltage drops below 24 V
When will the starter automatically disengage during Auto start?
At 56% Ng.
