Antithesis

A

a figure of speech that states strongly contrasting idea placed in juxtaposition. They contain near-parallel or parallel compound sentences with the two independent clauses separated by a comma or a semicolon, in most cases.
E.g. “it was the best of times, it was the worst of times.” - Charles Dickens.
