Symbol
Objects, places, events, and/or characters that have meaning and significance.
Allegory
a story, poem, or picture that can be interpreted to reveal a hidden meaning, typically a moral or political one.
Archetypes
a very typical example of a certain person or thing.
Point of View
Describes a narrators position in relation to the story.
Second-person POV
Uses pronouns like “you’ “your”
First-Person
Told by a narrator who is a character in the story and uses “I” or “me”.
Third-Person Limited Omniscient
Uses pronouns like “her’ and “Him” but usually focuses on the thoughts and feelings of one character.
Third-Person Omniscient
Uses third person pronouns but focuses on the thoughts and actions of all of the characters in the story.
Omniscient Narrator
Shares what all of the characters think and feel instead of focusing on one character.
