Symbiosis occurs when two organisms of different species live (and have to live) in close association and at least one of them benefits.

Give examples of symniosis and mutualism
A
- Mutualism: Bacteria in the large intestines of humans, where the bacteria produce vitamins B and K and get food and shelter.
- Nitrogen-fixing bacteria in the nodules of plants such as clover, where the bacteria gain food, shelter, anaerobic conditions and the clover gets nitrates.
