9
Q

what must you never do with anchor points for SWAH

10
Q

can you have many anchor points?

A

YES, but if 1 is rated high (out of 10) the other anchor points need to be equal to if not higher than the 1 just in case it fails so they take the weight

Q

define fall arrest device

A

used in situations where risk of fall likely to cause injury exists
-if you fall the fall crest device is designed to slow you down , reduce distance you fall= lower impact on body

16
Q

what is back clipping/shortcutting

A

clipping 1 or both legs of fall arrest device to the harness, bypassing the absorbica device.
-if fall happens, user will feel peek impact force (PIF) =DEATH or INJURY

17
Q

what are the 3 types of walkdowns for SWAH

A

1) Fall arrest walk down
2) Rope walkdown
3) Emergency walk down (no SWAH equip used)

18
Q

what is crossloading

A

when scaff hooks/karabiners are pointing sideways rather than vertically. rope attached isn’t under load so equipment doesnt function properly
