Canadians in Hong Kong

A

Canada’s Air Force, British, and Indian Troops joined together to help defend Hong Kong from the Japanese invasion.
However, Canada and Britain were forced to surrender.
Many were wounded, and allied troops were taken as war prisoners.

Royal Canadian Airforce & Contributions

A

German troops started bombing Britain A.K.A the Battle of Britain.
Canada joined to fight alongside Britain.
The Canadian Air Force played an important role of shooting down the German planes.
Canada was the main training group for the BCATP (British Canadian Air Training Plan)
This program trained pilots, navigators, air gunners, flight engineers, wireless operators, and air bombers from all of the different British territories including Britain itself, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and India.
