What type of biopsy would you take of a mast cell tumour?
A
- incisional allows for surgical planning - important when the surgical site would make excision with margins difficult
- excisional could be considered if surgery site allows for wide margins

How do we stage mast cell tumours?
A
- lymph nodes - FNA
- Liver and spleen - ultrasound +/- FNA
- bone marrow - bone marrow aspirate

What are non surgical options for mast cell tumours?
A
- masitinib (masivet) - oral tablet
- toceranib (palladia) - oral tablet
- tigilanol tiglate (stelfonta) - intra tumoural injection
All are licensed only for non resectable mast cell tumours

- systolic 90-140
- diastolic 50-80
