Increased pressure in close tissue compartment
Causes:
- prolonged immobilization
- ischemia ~ burns, crush injury, reperfusion
- hemorrhaging
- infection
Presentation
- pain out of proportion to injury
- pain wore with passive stretching
- tense tissues ~ wood
- pallor
- pulselessness
- paresthesia
- paralysis
Tx fasciotomy
Complications ~ rhabdo
