What is a superconductor?

A wire or device made of a material that has zero resistivity at and below a critical temperature

A
There is no p.d. across it because there is no resistance (V=IR)

A
Current has no heating effect in a superconductor because there is no p.d.

A
It loses it superconductivity - the resistance rises

0 Kelvins (absolute zero)
