Resistance Flashcards
1
Q
What is resistance?
A
A measure of the resistance within the component/circuit to the flow of the current. (ie. how difficult it is for current to travel)
It is measured in ohms (Ω).
potential difference (V) = current (I) × resistance (R)

Q
What is ohms law?
A
Ohms law states: provided the temperature is constant, the current through an ohmic conductor is directly proportional to the potential difference across it.
I ∝ V
