why do you want to study
one factor that attracts me to Sunderland university as it is a diverse school meaning that I have the opportunity to interact with a wide range of individuals. this will not only help me for my social and empathy skills but it will also help me to gain a first hand understanding of the importance of diversity which is one of the key NHS mottos.
when it comes to medical school, I personally like the living lab, which has mock hospital wards. this appeals to me as it eases you into clinical experiences which will allow me to become a confident medic in the future.
Sunderland is also a PBL school that is based on solving problems and working as a team. this teaching method incorporates social and academic schools which will be important as a medic.
pros and cons of this school
the only con that I could think of as it is a new medical school there may not be as many medical graduates or upper-year students compare to other medical schools. This could mean that there may be fewer people to speak for advice.
it is a good community with a high student to teacher ratio.
