Q

Bias

A

when an account is not balanced, but unfairly favours one side. Sometimes a person may be unaware that their interpretation (their explanation or meaning) is not a fair one; sometimes it is deliberate, to influence others. Think of how newspapers sometimes report the same event very differently. Historians must watch out for bias in their sources - and in themselves!
