What is MEES regulations?
It is a set of regulations that came in 2018 that requires let buildings are subject to a minimum EPC.
It also sets out future regulations for EPC ratings to abide by, in an effort to improve building efficiency.

Yes, so it is dependant on the lease, but there are options such as arbitrator and independent expert.
Can you tell me what the difference is between an independent expert and arbitrator?
An independent expert assesses the rent review via their on experience and speciality to come to a conclusion. The outcome is called a determination.
An Arbitrator uses the evidence provided by both parties to come to a conclusion. This is called an award.
You’ve said you are familiar with PACT. Can you tell me what this is?
Professional Arbitration on Court Terms. It is an form of alternative dispute resolution for lease renewals, where the parties agree to delegate the determination to a third party.
