define a climax community
the most stabble community with the most species present meaning thier is a copmplex food web so changes in species have little to no effect
what are commen features during the progression of a climax community
enviroment must become less hostile - as their is more nutrients from the soil
so number and varities of habitat increase
diversity inceases as a result of increased variety
more complex food webs
this allows for increased biomass and less dependance on a food source
