- CT scan - crescent shape and not limited by cranial sutures
- Atrophy in their brains

EPIDEMIOLOGY
Most common groups of patients
A
Elderly or alcohol patients

MANAGEMENT
General principles
A
- Surgery to drain/repair
- Invasive ICP monitoring if GCM < 9
- Prophylactic antipelieptics
- Correction coagulopathy - stop annticoagulants and maybe begin vitamin K
- Treatment of raised ICP

- Epilepsy
- Coma
- Neurological deficits
- Stroke
